Frieze
In this cut pile, the yarns are extremely twisted, forming a "curly" textured surface. This informal look also minimizes foot prints and vacuum marks. The Frieze is similar to the old mini shag but the carpet strands are thinner and and more twist is applied to the fiber for more resiliency of the carpet.

Sculpture (Hi-Low or Cut and Loop)
Generally this style is made with a high cut pile and a low loop pile with a design , or a level loop and level cut pile (Tip Shear). The low loop is used to help keep the pattern in the carpet from matting and loosing its definition. Generally  this style is made in two  or more  colors to hide soil and show less footprints. This style  was very popular in the  1970's  and  is still very popular today.

Level Loop Berber

This style Berber the loops are level with no variation in size or height of the loops. Generally this style comes in multi-colors or subtle flecks of color an is also available occasionally in solids.

Cut Pile

Shows strong shading and accents. It provides a very formal and elegant look to any room because of the highlights it shows. If you would like to show less impressions, purchase a textured cut pile. Textured carpet is also a cut pile, except the pile yarns have more twist so that the yarn ends are visible and create a less formal look and minimizes foot prints. The more times the carpet is twisted the longer the carpet will wear and the less it will crush.

Commercial Carpets

Made in Cut Pile, Cut & Loop, Level Loop and Textured loop
and available in prints, multi colored flecks and more.

Commercial carpet is currently  used in both residential and commercial settings. Commercial carpet is the best  wearing  and least expensive carpet made today because the carpet is very dense (close) and low pile height, which provides for longer wear and less matting. The reason commercial  carpet  is not used widely in residential use is because it does not provide the softness  of the other  styles because of its lack of pile height.
